Instructors:

Steven Paget, Certified Value Specialist (CVS), is the Director of Value Studies at Säzän Environmental Services, with more than 30 years of experience in environmental design and third-party review services. His professional focus is on value-based design charrette facilitation, value studies, constructability reviews, life cycle costing, LEED assessment, and sustainability strategies. He has helped school districts, municipalities, the federal government, institutional, tribal, and commercial clients improve project performance and cost.

Blane Long, Certified Value Specialist (CVS), is the National Director for Value Engineering and Project Risk Management with HDR Engineering with more than 35 years of experience providing value engineering, risk assessment and management, project management, and training. Blane has an extensive background working for WSDOT, serving as its Statewide Value Engineering Manager facilitating dozens of value engineering workshops. He has led more than 100 studies, resulting in more than $2 billion in net cost avoidance.
