Events

Chapter's Activities

  • Spread the concept and application of VE in the Gulf region. 

  • Train and qualify individuals to attain accredited certificates in VE

  • Offer services and consultation in VE

  • Conduct VE approved Courses (Mod-I & Mod-II) and  other  VE related courses

  • Hold VE Conferences and Public meetings

  • Issue the  Gulf Value Magazine     

  • Published a  booklet "Guide Lines for VE Studies"

  • Provide VE library including books, references, periodicals and video tapes.

VE in Gulf Region

  • The Saudi government mandated VE applications on all government projects that are more that $5 million. Other Gulf countries will follow.

  • All government contracts and lots of private sector contracts have included VE clauses.

  • Four Arabic VE books have been written by Gulf CVSs

  • The certified people in the Gulf has reached around 1000 (CVSs and AVSs) and growing.

  • VE Training workshops (Module 1 & Module 2) are held at the rate of 40-50 per year.

  • VE studies are conducted at the rate of 80-100 per year.

  • Four regional VE conferences were held (2001, 2003, 2005 & 2008). And planning for the fifth one in year 2010.
