Value World aims to become a premier journal for discussion of value theory and practice in both the Public Sector and Private Sector. It is published by SAVE International.
Value is a broad concept that spans many theoretical disciplines and industry sectors. It is often treated differently in each. Value World provides an opportunity to share detailed insights into different understandings and practices associated with value. It aims to help those interested in the concept to identify cross-linkages and underlying truths so that new knowledge and methods can be developed from open, collaborative debate. To this end, Value World provides an international forum for the cross-disciplinary exchange of insights and ideas regarding value and the practice of its delivery.
Value World has a broad scope. Submissions are invited regarding any theoretical or practical treatment of value. Suggested topics include:
- Discussion and exploration of new theory and knowledge of value, function, technology and innovation.
- Industrial and service organisation, product and process design and performance improvement.
- The SAVE Value Methodology and other structured approaches to understanding, measuring or otherwise providing value.
- Advances in the understanding of value derived from analysis of experimental data.
- Development of logical insights into value from first principles to reasoned outcomes.
- Address of the perception of value by individuals.
- Investigations of existing practical understanding and management of value.
- Case studies reporting insights and lessons regarding value drawn from practice.
- Historical review of previous works addressing value.
- Fundamental truths regarding value drawn from coherent and reliable explanation building.
ACCEPTED PAPER FORMATS
Value World invites papers of the following types:
- Discussion or exploratory papers which develop the theory of value by promoting ongoing debate.
- Analytical papers which advance understanding of value by analysing and drawing conclusions from experimental or empirical data.
- Review papers which present an overview and summary of another published work or works.
- Case Studies which share lessons drawn from everyday practice.
Publication in Value World will disseminate your work to a growing international audience of practitioners and researchers with an interest in value from a wide variety of sectors. It is anticipated that contentious submissions will stimulate further debate among interested contributors in later journal issues, providing opportunities for dialogue to develop.
REVIEW PROCESS
All submissions undergo a blind refereeing process. Each paper will be reviewed by a panel of three referees: one generalist; one practitioner; and one value researcher.
